A Movie

You know sometimes you can sit down and watch one movie and suddenly you feel your life is better because of it. That movie is The Brothers Bloom. The funny thing is that when I first saw it, I thought it was just okay. But after giving it another chance, I began to see the genius of the film. It's so odd. I want to talk about it, but I don't want to talk about it at the same time. perhaps I feel that my talking about it won't do it justice. And let's be honest, my talking about anything never really does the situation at hand any justice. Its just lip service.

It is one great movie. I guess that's all.

Work and Old Age

I love to work. I really do. I love the act of getting up early and working for a living. Contrubuting to the Gross National Product. Doing something productive. But here I am at the age of 42 desperately saving for my retirement. Trying to earn enough so that when I am finally old and tired, I will have enough to live on. But I don't think that people like me get THAT tired. I will most likely be one of those old people who are still working at the age of 68 as a greeter at the local Wal Mart because I am bored. As I often am when I have nothing to do. I think boredom will kill me as surely as cancer. In Seattle the elderly simply go off to live in retirement communities (tell em' Stuart sent you!). Where I'm from, you're born working and you die working. Can I change and become one of those retirement home grannies? Only time will tell.
